If you’re really into Borderlands 3, then you will probably already have dropped the cash on this latest addition, however if you’re just looking for a new reason to jump back in and experience the world once more, this will not be what you’ve been waiting for. There is simply not enough here to warrant the asking price for the average player and it’s actually surprising that Gearbox have felt that this DLC drop was warranted. These are a delightful addition.Īs decent as the Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut addition is on Xbox, my problem with all of it is that this could have easily been dropped out as a free update. I only paid 8.66 for this game but I didnt buy the season pass since I didnt know if I was going to enjoy the game (I really disliked the original Borderlands). You can access them through the main menu and I urge you to do so – I really enjoyed watching them and wish more games offered special features like this more often. These are really interesting – especially if you’re intrigued by the process of making games – with all being surprisingly well-made and capable of offering up a wealth of fascinating insights and snippets about the creation of Borderlands 3. Some of the heads are pretty nice and it’s always welcome to have another reason to jump back into the game.įinally there are the behind the scenes videos which have been included. There will be three available and each one offers different items that can be unlocked. There have also been Vault Cards added to the progression system daily and weekly challenges that can be completed for various items and skins. As with all things gaming, patience is worth practicing. ![]() However, most season passes and DLC fail to deliver, at least until you can find them on sale. You see, this insect has an insane amount of health and you’ll need a well-optimized build to conquer it. Season passes and DLC can offer some wonderful benefits, such as increasing a game's longevity in a meaningful, enjoyable way. However it is pretty damn difficult and will be perfect for those looking to farm legendaries and test their builds out. In fact, it’s a pretty simple, standard fight. It’s a neat idea but generally delivered nothing that ever managed to totally shock me through the fight. Essentially though it is a giant version of the Varkid enemy one that slowly gets bigger and bigger as you battle it. It’s pretty decent, even if it may be a disappointment for those expecting something truly jaw dropping, particularly when you consider the wait it’s taken to see inclusion. In addition to that short questline, 2K and Gearbox have also finally added an end game raid boss, something which the title has been desperately needing since launch. However it is just about challenging enough, and it ensures that there are some interesting implications of Borderlands’ larger story hidden in this something which is cool to see. ![]() I wouldn't be suggesting a sale but they do one atleast every other week. The final boss for the questline is a little easy, especially with a well-specced character which is something that many Borderlands 3 players are likely to have by now. I've done it myself and I'm much happier with my decision. But they'll do sales all the time if your patient enough making it 15 dollars. If buy the GOTY edition the orginal verison will just convert its self over to GOTY. It's not cheaper honestly it is the same price if you look around. If you plan to buy the Season Pass, you will get new environments to. Do not download from the Xbox Games Store, or you will be charged twice. Thanks anyway for your replies guys I appreciate it. Thats not to say that Borderlands 2 didnt hold up. Buy the Tales from the Borderlands SEASON PASS for the best value on remaining. It would be a good investment for new gamers into a specific series but for people who already bought the vanilla game is just nope. Borderlands 2 Season Pass is by far the absolute Season Pass of any game With that said, purchase the GotY bundle because it not only includes the Season Pass but is an even better value 3. I only get Bioshock 1 and 2 since I already have infinite. Pretty much the same if I bought the Bioshock Tripple pack. Now that you guys mentioned BL2 GOTY is 15$ if Skyrim Legendary Edition goes on sale these two would be on my watchlist for sure. seems like a bad investment for me but that's the way it is. What I had in mind was that if I bought GOTY I would have "TWO" copies of the base or Vanilla games and I could trade or gift the extra for my friend. If you have the base or "Vanilla" game installed the GOTY just gives you all the other DLC'S and no more. Originally posted by spuddy1981:GOTY is better value than the season pass.
